PQRS/MIPS Information

2017 ushers in the end of PQRS!  Until this year, psychologists accepting Medicare (and billing Novitas Solutions) needed to "bill" for a series of codes demonstrating our effectiveness.  If that wasn't done, then two years later, we received a cut in pay.

The replacement is called MIPS, but we don't need to do it at all in 2017, and should be exempted in future years if we bill for fewer than 100 Medicare FFS patients or bill Medicare FFS for less than $30,000 in a calendar year.  Since 1099-MISC forms are showing up in your mail right now, you can readily see if you fall under that threshhold.

Here's a link so you can read more if desired.
